Pink Typewriter Love in the Real World

It’s Monday. I got up after only one — okay, one and a half snoozes and started my day with some awesome quiet time. My Bible reading included 1 Corinthians 13 — the love chapter that our guest blogger Kathy Smith quoted so beautifully in last week’s post. Then, the Bible study book I’m reading really focused in on the point of how much Jesus loves us and wants us to experience that love personally, not simply as an abstract concept.

I grabbed a shower, washed and dried my hair, and still made it to work 15 minutes early. (Yay for President’s Day and lighter-than-normal traffic.) I lugged all of my bags in from the car and rounded the corner to my office door.

There, taped perfectly at eye level, was a beautifully colored page from one of my Pink Typewriter World and real-world friends, the lovely Nancy Mount. The page features a happy pink typewriter and the scripture from Jeremiah 29:11 that reminds us that God has a plan for our lives — plans to give us “hope and a future.” The page featured a banner title “Live Your Story” that I found perfectly apt for this writer who got brave enough this weekend to send the query for her novel out to two agents.

I prayed hard over those queries. I read devotions this weekend and listened to writing training that reminded that “Man’s rejection does not equal God’s rejection.” And so arriving for a normal Monday, I received a clear reminder from my God, sent via a dear friend, that He has a plan.

It may not be my plan, but it is a good plan.

And it gives me hope and a future.

And a clear reminder that I am loved.

So, today, I encourage all of us to share our Pink Typewriter World love in the real world. You never know just how God will use your willingness to be a blessing to someone.

Have a great story of how someone has blessed you in an unexpected way? We’d love to hear it! Comment below.

First of all Nancy Mount is tremendously talented and what a special friend to give you such a special gift. Secondly, bravo to you Dawn for your courageous move to submit your novel to two agents. God is in the publishing business too so I believe if it’s your time it will happen. I hope to do the same someday! But I especially like the idea of willing to be a blessing. Mindfulness at its best! And lastly, we are all living our story and for many it’s a story we never thought we’d be living out. That’s when that verse takes on such significant meaning. Thanks for the reminder that when I read it, he is speaking to me.

I love this! What a wonderful surprise to come into work and find waiting for you. You rock Nancy! You are the living embodiment of the kindness we hope to spread throughout the world. What a wonderful example you are to us all!

So proud of you Dawn for submitting to two more agents. I just know you are going to find the right one for your book! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for revealing your ideas right here. The other matter is that when a problem develops with a personal computer motherboard, people today should not go ahead and take risk associated with repairing this themselves for if it is not done right it can lead to permanent damage to the full laptop. Most commonly it is safe just to approach your dealer of the laptop for the repair of that motherboard. They have technicians who definitely have an know-how in dealing with notebook computer motherboard difficulties and can carry out the right diagnosis and perform repairs.
